From 1991 to 2023EMI was founded in 1991 following the acquisition of EMP. Over the years, it has grown through mergers, acquisitions, and expansions of its activities. It has integrated companies such as ADIS, TRANSVAL, and SAGEM, and has expanded its expertise to electronics and electric vehicles. EMI also acquired SEV Electric Vehicles and EFFIANCE, consolidating its position in the electronics and cabling sector while diversifying its product portfolio.
In June 2023, the GCK Group continued its growth by taking over the activities of EMI, a long-standing and loyal partner of the group, and more specifically of its subsidiary GCK Battery, for which it designs the electronic boards, casings, and wiring harnesses for the batteries it produces.
EMI becomes GCK EMI and is integrated into GCK’s Technology & Industry division. The group, which now has 270 employees, will be committed to revitalizing GCK EMI’s historic activities and developing new products identified as strategic for both external customers and other companies within the group.
