EMI was founded in 1991 following the takeover of EMP. Over the years, it has developed through mergers, acquisitions and expansion of its activities. It has integrated companies such as ADIS, TRANSVAL and SAGEM, and has extended its expertise to electronics and electric vehicles. EMI has also acquired SEV Electric Vehicles and EFFIANCE, consolidating its position in the electronics and wiring sector and diversifying its product portfolio.
In June 2023, the GCK Group continued its growth by taking over the activities of EMI, a long-standing and loyal partner of the Group and more particularly of its subsidiary GCK Battery, for which it designs the electronic boards, casing and wiring harnesses for the batteries produced.
EMI becomes GCK EMI and is integrated into GCK’s Technology & Industry division. The group, which now has 270 employees, will be responsible for revitalising GCK EMI’s historic activities and developing new products identified as strategic both for external customers and for other group companies.
